Bahrain Ship Repair and Engineering Company (BASREC), established its operations way back in 1962 and is now one of the leading facilities in ship repairs and conversions in marine and offshore engineering in the Middle East. The yard is situated at a close proximity to the port of Bahrain. BASREC continue to develop by competing in the international market with the support of all stake holders and trusted by its long staying customers.

BASREC operates two slipways each 80m length having a capacity of 1000 tons and a Floating Dock 120x18.5m with lifting capacity up to 3500 tons. Two repair quaysides have 8m minimum water depth and can accommodate vessels up to 170m in length. BASREC is capable of working in compliance with all Classification Society Standards and strict adherence to international Safety & Quality Standards and currently certified with the ISO 9001-2000 and progressing towards ISO 14001.

Another division of BASREC, Technical Engineering and Marketing Services (TEAMS-Bahrain) is an electrical engineering company specializing in the manufacture, modification and maintenance of switchboards, motor control centers and control panels. It has a dedicated team, many of whom have more than 25 years’ experience in the switchgear and control panel industry, and who are used to working to and meeting critical shut down periods.

Associated with many of the leading, reputed electrical and mechanical engineering product brand names in the industry, TEAMS-Bahrain has for many years catered to the needs of Bahrain’s industries with various specialized products, and hopes to prove its competency in the future.

The Company has provided a wide range of services to many mega engineering projects in Bahrain, from design support to helping the client, in practical ways, achieve optimum utilization of engineering products. Customers are given assistance in selecting a particular product for the efficient, optimal use of various resources, and TEAMS-Bahrain’s design department continuously upgrades the range of products it offers.

Mechanical products associated with TEAMS-Bahrain, such as sewerage pumps and ventilation equipment, have enjoyed a market monopoly in Bahrain for many years, and shall keep dominating the market due to their superior quality compared with other products, backed up with excellent after sales support.
